If that is correct then DOS3 shouldn't be used on a harddrive partition as
directory cache causes terrible problems. I can't remember who started
this thread but I think his best bet would be to backup that partition,
go into HDToolbox and untick the dir cache then reformat the drive and
reinstall his backup. Directory cache was only for floppies, there was a
program on Aminet to change this without losing the software, IIRC by
Joanne Dow but I have no idea what it was called.
